Celebrating Crossing Guard Appreciation Week

The City of Oshawa encourages all community members to thank their crossing guard during Crossing Guard Appreciation Week, June 5 to 9.
The week recognizes the more than 125 crossing guards throughout our community who help students and pedestrians travel safely across streets and intersections on school days, completing approximately 1.5 million crossings each school year.

Celebrate Indigenous History Month throughout Oshawa this June! Indigenous History Month is a time to recognize the rich history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.

Leisure swim delays at South Oshawa Community Centre on June 7

The South Oshawa Community Centre pool will not be available until 10:30 a.m. on June 7. Due to this service disruption, leisure swims scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. will now start at 10:30 a.m. on June 7.

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Heat Warning for Durham Region for Thursday, June 1 until Friday, June 2.
